SUPERDELL FOR GOVERNOR

Valley Fair Mall in West Valley City has a dollar theater I’ve been to many times. I used to leave my gun in the car as there were no concealed carry permits back then. After being assaulted in the parking lot when some gang members tried to kick me out of my parking spot by force I figured I better exercise my legal right to carry openly and started carrying openly on my hip. After waiting in line with my wife and buying tickets I took a trip to the bathrooms across the food court; on my way back 2 officers came up behind me, grabbed my legally carried weapon that was in plain site and threw me up against the wall and frisked me. Then they took me in their little room, charged me with carrying a concealed weapon and hauled me off to jail right then and there. Luckily the case was dropped as I didn’t actually break any laws and they returned my firearm (without the bullets).

On the way home from the very same mall late one night months and months afterwards I witnessed a car blindly run a red light at about 50mph and head through a neighborhood. I figured they were drunk so I followed to get the plate number. My wife wrote it down, pregnant at the time with our first child, and when she had gotten the plate number I started to slow down to turn around. Just then the driver of the car slammed on his brakes sliding his car sideways to a stop completely blocking my way. He jumped out of the driver seat with what looked like a short baseball bat and angrily approached my vehicle. Without time to do anything else after having to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting him I stepped out of my vehicle, displayed my firearm in front of my car door with it pointed at the ground. I said “stop, I don’t want any trouble, just get back in your car and we’ve got no problem”. He responded quite well doing exactly that and drove off. I turned around and we headed home the other direction. Upon reaching home we phoned the police and reported the incident. The police promptly arrived at my house and charged me with brandishing a weapon. Both my wife and I told the police about the obvious threat from out assailant, 2 of us, both of our word against only his. I was charged with brandishing anyway. In court I was offered a plea bargain where if I plead guilty the charges would be completely dropped and I would pay only a $50 fine. As I really didn’t have any time to fight the ridiculous charges at the time I took the offer to drop the charges and paid the fine.

Model rocketry had been a hobby of mine since I was pretty young, my wife’s little brother, then only 12, was interested in how to build a rocket as I had told him about several times. I first made rocket fuel by dissolving potassium nitrate and table sugar in water and then heating off most of the water. It is a known recipe for propellant. I then built the engine with what I felt was the correct size nozzle to give a reduction that would build the proper pressure for optimum thrust. As I didn’t have any tables or charts to go from I just had to guess for the first size. The engine was very small intended for only a simple model rocket you could buy at a toy store. I then setup a test stand in my front yard where the engine wouldn’t go anywhere as the thrust was pointed up in the air with a type of scale under it to determine the thrust. It was all shielded in case of a malfunction no debris would go anywhere. I misjudged on the nozzle and made it too small so as we watched the thrust test it built up to much pressure and split apart with a loud bang. To make a long story short the police were called and after the lead investigating officer from West Valley got done hitting on my very pretty wife I was charged with a 2nd degree felony of constructing a bomb. No investigation was done, no input as to the materials or obvious design to determine intent. Just a felony charge for what was obviously a model rocket engine to anyone that took even a few seconds to look. This time the plea bargain offered a simple misdemeanor and fine instead of the felony which I took as I didn’t want any risk of a felony on my record no matter what.

Then there is Draper City, while driving to the flight park I headed up through the residential area to the main street to the launch area. I passed a few kids at about 10-15mph and when the road was clear and there were no parked cars on the side of the road or children anywhere on the road, sidewalks or open fields & lawn next to the road and past the sidewalk and the road widened to the width of a 4 lane freeway I sped up quickly as my daughter enjoyed feeling the power of the Jaguar XJR-100. I immediately slowed back down to the speed limit so I was only speeding for about 1 to 1.5 seconds. I then proceeded to the flight park at about 5mph over the speed limit from that time. Upon reaching the flight park I immediately got out of the car and started unloading my paragliding equipment from the trunk when a car blocked me in and the driver started cussing at me for speeding. Since he was so foul and I was with my 8 year old daughter who I really didn’t want to hear his foul language & attitude I just walked away. As I walked toward launch he and 2 other guys all started following me cussing & swearing. I continued to walk away, tried to apologize, which they answered with foul words and I said a few other quick things to diffuse the situation but since they were so enraged it really didn’t matter what I said so I just continued to walk away. I set the equipment down, asked my daughter to stay with it and then continued walking. Then one of them picked up a rock and threatened to smash my lights in. Now the hair on the back of my neck really stood up and I realized my life and the life of my child were in immediate danger. He started walking directly towards my daughter who was standing next to the equipment and as all the eyes went in that direction I used the distraction to access my weapon and slip it behind me still concealed but now by my leg. None of them saw the weapon. Luckily he walked past my child and towards the back of my car. He stood there for a second and then as it seemed he finally came to his senses he dropped the rock. As he did I again used the attention that was on him and the 5 foot high garbage cans I had intentionally put between us as cover to slip my weapon back into my pocket. None of the 3 bad guys had ever even seen the gun. I had attempted to diffuse the situation by walking away, I had attempted to diffuse the situation by trying to apologize & reason with them, I had attempted to diffuse the situation by remaining silent and walking away again, I had attempted to diffuse the situation by not displaying the weapon as I had a legal right to do so. When I later went over them with my lawyer we came up with 9 different ways I attempted to diffuse the situation peacefully but when the police showed up I was somehow the bad guy. I tried to explain to the police what happened and I was told to “Shut up!! We are asking the questions!!!”. I made a very short written police report as I could tell they were only trying to gather information to charge me with a crime. They even tried asking me flat out if I had “brandished a weapon”. I knew the law; I knew I had not broken it. The only correct answer was NO.

I was of course charged with brandishing a weapon. Again… Then instead of a speeding ticket which they had zero evidence of as they had no witnesses that could identify me as the driver or any verification of speed or danger to others they charged me with reckless driving. Then to top it off they charged me with a false written statement for the very short contents of the police report that I wrote. Neither of the 2 sentences I wrote were false. I was found not guilty of brandishing a weapon. I was however found guilty amazingly for “false written statement” as the jury was lied to by the judge & prosecutor about what the law actually was and the news tried to make it look like I lied when I said I didn’t brandish a weapon. The obvious truth is I was charged with a false written statement and what was in the statement were 2 sentences both completely truth and completely unaddressed. The media misled the people of Utah into thinking I lied when I said “NO” to the question of “did you brandish a weapon” when I was of course not guilty of brandishing a weapon and therefore obviously correct without question.

This is not a simple incident, these are not all, I know tons of other professional business people like myself that have also been charged with things that were obviously not correct simply because of the anti-gun mentality of some of the police officers, all of the media and most of the Utah government officials.

This is a huge problem, you think you have a second amendment, you think you have rights, you think you are “safe” in obeying the law and you are WRONG. The only way to fix this problem is to put someone in office that will stand up for your rights and you have to do it with ALL of the Utah media against you. I only know one person that will stand up to the media, tell them where to go and how to get there and do the right thing no matter what. I only know one person with a history for publicly speaking up for what they believe in and going way out of their way to stand up for others. That person is ME. This might be the last time you have a chance to vote for your freedom before you have to take it by force. The only way to make a real difference is to vote for someone really different. I sure wish I knew someone better for the job but I don’t. I would much rather continue being retired and having fun but I’ll do the job if enough people care about the freedom to put me in office. How much do you care about your freedom? How badly would you like someone in office that will stick their neck out just for you no matter how unpopular it might be? Name that price in dollars because that is what it is going to take. Remember if you don’t pay for it with money right now then someday you might be paying for it with blood. What are your freedoms and ability to exercise your rights worth to you? Imagine for a second that SUPERDELL is Governor and the highest ranking officer and highest paid person in your company claims they were held back from promotion because of discrimination and they want 2 million dollars. Do you think they will get away with it?? There is A LOT of crap that happens in this state, you can either be in it really deep or start cleaning the place up. What's your choice?

Are you serious?

Yes of course. Where can you go to live in a free country? You can't run from these major problems. There isn't anywhere left on earth. We have to make a stand and fight for freedom again. We've let our freedoms slip away one after another. I am the only hope in Utah. I'm quite sure there is no one else that will take the heat for doing the right thing and standing up for what is right. Who else is going to speak out against the entire media knowing full well what the consequenses will be? Anyone? Freedom is no longer popular, only the pretended fantacy and warped sense of what it really is. I sure wish I wasn't the only hope. I would love to do other things.

I have a few questions, if you don't mind.

1. You mentioned that you're fighting for freedom, and that we've let our freedoms slip away one after another. Could you please enumerate the freedoms we've let slip?

2. It's no secret that you have a negative public image (no offense). Without addressing the reasons why you have a negative public image, will you please describe your plan to overcome voters' negative feelings toward you, and how you will win every voters' confidence?

3. You made mention of "these major problems." In your initial post you explained in great detail occasions in which you felt you were mistreated by the police. What are some other major problems and issues you plan on addressing in your governorship?

4. You mentioned multiple times that you are the only hope for Utah. Many Utah residents who are active in making a difference in their communities may view this comment as being a little obstinate. How would you respond?

Thank you for taking a few moments to address some of my questions. I look forward to your response.

1) There are far too many freedoms encroached to list them. Second Amendment, First... heck all of them. You don't even get to keep about 80% of the money you make. In the "free" country of Utah you can't even light off a firecracker on the 4th of July.

2) Negative image??? You should hang around me when I'm out in public. The only negative image is the completley false & slanted stories the Utah media fabricates. The amount of support I get is phenominal. People are not as stupid as ksl wants you to think they are. Last time I went to court all of the cops were swarming around me giving me kudos & shaking my hand. The media has only hidden the truth from the blind.

3) Liberty and justice for all to keep it simple. People are so scared of getting sued or arrested they completely refuse to stand up for what is right, logical and obvious and destroy the very fabric of morality and valor that should be what holds a community together. My generation was raised on SUPERHERO'S fighting against evil in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Now instead of truth justice and the American way you are taxed up the wazoo, fear those that are supposed to protect and serve you and can claim discrimination with or without any evidence and cost your employer $477,000 or more just in legal fees.

4) I think it is great when people do what they can. The fact is what it is though. Who is going to stand up for you when your rights are trampled? When you fire an employee for getting drunk out fishing and rolling your $250,000 company truck down a hill and they sue and win $500,000 for wrongfull termination; which Governor candidate do you know that will do something about it???? What will they do???? Do you want someone in office that is a real person or do you want a politition who hired a team of liars to fabricate a campaign that would get them elected? Do you live in the real world??? Do you not realize how seriously jacked up things are???? I seriously do not want to be Governor, what a pain in the butt. I feel it my duty though as I know darn well I am the only one that is going to bring truth, justice and the American way to Amerika.

On Oct 5th, mu 14 year old son was arrested for a mishap with his rocketry hobby. He was making his own rocket engine, smaller than 1/4A, when a spark caught more on fire than he had intented. A neighbor called the fire department when they saw the smoke. The Fire Marshall accused my son of making bombs, booby-trapping the house, evacutated my neighbors, thought that a potato gun was a pipe bomb, accused my son of planting pipe bomb throughout the neighborhood, then arrested him for "manufacturing explosives", charing him with a felony as an adult (which carries a sentence of 5-10 years in jail)! Have you found a way to rebutt these types of charges? Why would a 14 year old be charged as an adult of model rocketry? Has our nation become so suspicious of everything?

The Fire Marshall cited Columbine when I asked why he was charging my son with a felony. However, those Columbine children where caucasion and brandishing guns (kinda like the Fire Marshall!). My son is half German and half Chinese. Does being half Asian stereotype him as an adult felon?

Was he making the engine out of metal or paper? Your son could legally purchase high explosives, legally own it and legally detonate it in a safe area. Put it in a steel pipe and they charge you with a felony. The problem is we have people making laws that are bovine, quadpeded, citified morons. Take a look back on KSL and you will see they just arrested a guy from Hill Airforce base. He is a friend of mine and wasn't making bombs. Many of the cops are totally clueless. They are so intent on trying to find something to charge people with they often forget to just look at the situation and try to think about it logically. I am terribly sorry to hear about your son. I made tons of pipe bombs when I was a kid and blew stuff up all the time. I could take one look at what he was doing and know exactly what the intent was. It was a similar situation in my case. Anyone that knew what they were doing could have easily seen what was used and how it was made and known that you don't build a bomb that way. Also since you can buy explosives far more powerful than pipe bombs why the heck is it illegal to make them??? It is so dumb it is incomprehensible. Your son is in serious trouble. They can make it look like anything they want and unless you have a really good lawyer you are screwed. In order to hire a really good lawyer it will cost you about $50,000 minimum. My only advice would be to see if you can get a ple-bargain down to a misdemeanor and make a bargain. Anything less than a felony. Yes racism is common, blowing things up is a fascination with most kids. They see it on TV and it is interesting. There should be a way for them to explore and expand their minds with stuff like that in a safe way. I learned all about chemistry when I was younger only so I could blow stuff up. I only learned about computers so I could play video games. Fascination is one of the biggest motivations for learning. We are creating a whole generation of sissies that don't know crap about crap and everything that is cool is made illegal in some way. This was not the intent of our forefathers for this country. If I can get in as Governor we could very possibly have at least one free state in this nation. Where someone with a brain would stand up against silly stuff like this terrorist act against your family and put some reality to "liberty and justice for all"! Call me if you want to talk about it at 801-631-1731.
